Selling Real Estate Using Twitter

By Jerome Pennix

At every real estate conventions, boot camps, or seminars the topic of marketing comes up. Someone will mention Facebook (that's a whole different story) which is always closely followed by a comment about Twitter. So... let's evaluate is Twitter worth it? If it IS worth it, how can you best use it for great results? First, lets look at just what Twitter is and what it can do for your marketing efforts.

Twitter.com is a site where an investor can create a profile and become a "micro-blogger" Twitter is like a typical blog (aka web-log) in that it lets you say anything you want to say to anyone and everyone who will view it - with one exception. Twitter only allows a subscriber to express themselves--0 characters at a time. So it's a kind of like using you cell phone to send the world a brief text message. When you locate a profile of someone whose "tweets" you are interested in, you can "follow" them - whenever they post anything new, it will be visible on your Twitter home page. If anyone finds YOUR profile and follows YOU, then you will be alerted that someone is "following" you. Now that you are aware of the basics, let's discuss making this a powerful and PROFITABLE tool for you.

Because the old saying "Out of sight, out of mind" is absolutely true, you'll need to remain active with your "tweeting". You should be posting at a minimum, once a day. Find something to "tweet" specific to real estate - something that your "followers" will find useful. If you just start sending info about homes you have for sale, it probably will not get you as far as you planned. Think about it this way - when was the last time you opened and really read an email from someone attempting to sell you something?

If you give your followers information they can use or information they find interesting (even if it ISN'T about real estate) then you'll have an opportunity to keep their attention. When you gain their trust, they'll be more willing to consider what you have to say when you do offer them a property you have listed.

Twitter, like other social networking sites, is a wonderful way to network and connect with people - just keep in mind that they are real people and desire to be respected and treated like real people. They aren't dollar signs. So connect when someone follows you, send them a short personal "tweet" letting them feel you appreciate them.

Remember that being real with people and giving thoughtful content is what Twitter is all about - the money will follow if you treat people like people and post regularly so that your Twitter marketing is consistently on the radar! The more you do this, the larger your following will be - and the larger your following, the better your chances of communicating with someone who wants to make a deal - which, of course, means a better chance for you to profit! - 23217

Online Trading is Becoming more Popular

By Alex Daryl

Trading and investing in stocks is something you need to learn before taking actions. Nowadays, there are more people taking up the roles of financial planners upon themselves and empowering themselves when it comes to investing in the stock market. The prevalence of online trading companies has been instrumental in breaking the boundaries between the super wealthy, the only ones that could afford to regularly trade in the market, and the average man who now has the power to make the same trades for less than half the commissions that once would have been necessary for the equavalent amount of work on the part of broker.

Oddly enough you need to be careful when choosing your online trading source as different companies offers different types of services. One of the first things you need to check is the security with the company you are considering. In most cases, the bigger names will offer the better security. Bigger companies build their reputations by producing long term good results. They will not risk their reputations by risking your money.

The next thing you would want to check before deciding to sign up with any online trading firm is the cost per transaction and how those costs are determined. There are all kinds of ways that these little fees can hit you and become big headaches later on. You should find out what are the possible fees, when will they be charged, how will they be charged and what exactly do the fees cover. The more you clarify at the beginning, there will be lesser room for misunderstandings later on.

Make sure there is a way for you to discuss problems, ask questions and get answers from the company ensuring that they are reachable. It will never be safe if you are unable to reach someone from the company for direct support. You would not want to have most of your time wasted in trying to get support from them and leave your money on risk.

Next thing would be the companies website interface. As you are trading online, most of the time spent will be navigating around their website. Make sure you can get around with their website and understand the charts, bars and graphs shown on the website. Different companies would have different ways of presenting their services. It would be easier and safer to work on a website that isn't confusing to you. If navigating around the website is a hassle and time consuming, it would be a serious problem when it comes to trading when every seconds counts.

If you can find all these critiria in an online trading company, you've probably found a great company to begin your journey as a stock market investor. If the website also offers free professional education and advice, which most of them has nowadays, you should invest some of your time learning and hearing from them. Willing to learn is critical in trading, especially when you are still new to this industry. - 23217

Popularity

It also wouldn't hurt if you choose an online broker that is more popular and known. In this way, you would be able to review their performance in the market through checking out reviews and hearing what other people have to say.

There is a huge chance that when a broker has achieved popularity, that it performs quite well in the market. Aside from this, popularity may also indicate experience in trading. Using LEAP Options

By Ahmad Hassam

British Pound is known to be a stable currency. Great Britain is a strong economy. But, Great Britain was finding it difficult to stay within the tight exchange rate band set by the European Monetary Union (EMU) in the early'90s. One person who made history with options was George Soros who is famously known as the man who broke the Bank of England.

George Soros is a famous name in the world of investing. He had always believed in contrarian investing. Contrarian investing means doing exactly opposite of what the crowd is doing. George Soros had this intuition that the Bank of England would be forced to devalue British Pound. So he bought call options on German Marks and put options on British Pound. He made a bet of $10 Billion by leveraging all the assets in his hedge fund.

Within a few days, Bank of England was brought to its knees as it was unable to sustain the immense selling pressure on the British Pound. Bank of England was forced to devalue British Pound in view of the speculative attack on the British Pound.

In a matter of a few days, George Soros made a cool $1 Billion profit on his bet. Can you make such a bet? Maybe not but this one example show the immense power options have if used correctly. Options are risky; there should be no doubt about it.

Options contract give you the right to buy or sell an underlying security like stocks, futures, commodities or currencies at a price before a certain date. This price is known as the Strike Price. This date is known as the Expiry Date. However, in European Style options you can only buy or sell on the expiry date not before that. Most people who trade options lose money, plain and simple.

Trading options without training is risky. You need to learn the Options Greeks. One of the important things that you need to learn while trading options is the importance of time factor. Time factor is very important when valuing an option. Further out the options contract is from expiration, you will have to pay a higher premium. As the options contract approaches the expiration date and if it is out of money, it loses its value very fast.

LEAP options are basically long term options. Leap options can help you profit over the long haul. You can use LEAP options in options strategies like the covered calls, straddles, spreads and so on. LEAP stands for long term equity anticipation. It basically means that the option is much like the regular option except that the timeframe to expire is greater than 1 year.

LEAP options are risky because the option writer usually demands a hefty premium for taking on the long term risk. However, LEAP options can be incredibly profitable if used correctly. The buyer of the LEAP options has the right to exercise the option prior to expiration should the price of the underlying stock move in the money.

LEAP options can be a great trading vehicle for swing traders as they mitigate some of the time decay that is inherent in short term options. See, closer the out of money option is to expiration, faster its value drops. What this means is that the buyer of the options loses the premium that was paid for getting the right to buy or sell the underlying security. - 23217

Helpful Hints Regarding Etf Trading

By Patrick Deaton

The stock market is something that people have been involved with for many, many years. Now we see that etf trading is rising in popularity, and this can be due to a variety of reasons. The options that people have with this are one of the reasons for its rise to fame as of late.

Getting in touch with a stockbroker to set up an account is one of the first things that you need to do in order to start etf trading. Making sure that you find a stockbroker that is qualified is essential. You can do this by asking about the history that they have had with past clients.

When it comes to opening an account for trading you will also have to look into what the initial investment is that you need to make. Many places state a minimum amount that is required. This can change from place to place and so researching this can be a great way to save money.

You also need to look at the amount that the company charges you for trading. This also can vary between companies. The least expensive is not always the best way to go as there could be some things that you may want that are not included in the services that they provide their clients. Taking a close look at the companies that people that you know deal with can help you when it comes time to decide on a company that you want to deal with.

The most popular thing with etf trading that people like is that it costs far less than other forms of trading that are available. Many people have made a good profit from a fairly small investment, which explains the rise in popularity that it has seen. This is something that more and more people are looking at with the economy being in such a poor state at the present time.

Learning is the key to being successful with etf trading. The internet has a lot of information for people that are interested in this type of thing. Reading can be the best way to keep ahead of the game and also help you make the best decisions that can pay off down the road. You want to prosper from this endeavour, not lose out because of it.

There are also a lot of message boards and forums that can be found that also can help answer any questions that people have about etf trading. These people have already been involved in some way or another and can offer the personal experiences that they have had. This can help you make a better decision on whether or not this is something that you want to do.

Remember above all that this is something that takes money to begin. You are not given any guarantees when it comes to any type of trading and people need to keep this in the back of their minds. There is nothing worse than losing money, but it is even worse if the money that you lose is needed in other areas of your life. - 23217
